ELIZABETH BARRETTplaying Emily

Elizabeth is thrilled to be making her debut with Mitch and Murray Productions for this exciting play! Elizabeth is and actor located in Vancouver BC, some previous credits include: Suze in Fairview (The Search Party Theatre); Clarissa in Teenage D*ck (Arts Club Theatre); Moira in The Code (Green Thumb Theatre, Young People’s Theatre,Tennessee Performing Arts Center); Sawyer in Unexpecting (Zee Zee Theatre and Arts Club Theatre); Ensemble in Reframed (Electric Theatre Company); Belle in A Christmas Carol (Western Canada Theatre); Hattie Bomber in Law of the Land (Caravan Farm Theatre) and Ensemble in The East Van Panto’s Little Red Riding Hood (Theatre Replacement). Elizabeth is a graduate of the acting program at Studio 58 in Vancouver, BC.

JENNIFER CLEMENTplaying Gina

Jennifer has 40 years’ experience as an actor, educator, director with over 100 credits in theatre/film & TV including a Jessie for Morris Panych’s The Trespassers at the Vancouver Playhouse/Belfry. In 2024, Jen played Gertrude in Bard on the Beach’s Hamlet and directed The Lifespan of a Fact for Kindred Theatre.

A graduate of York University & TMU Theatre School, she received the UBCP/Actra Lorena Gale Women of Distinction Award.

Jennifer acknowledges the privilege to live on the unceded traditional territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations and is grateful for the support of family, friends, VFS & Haven. With deep respect for all that Mitch and Murray contributes to our community, she is excited to be a part of this provocative play. 

AARON CRAVENplaying Justin

Aaron’s recent projects with Mitch and Murray include An Intervention (director), Instantaneous Blue (playwright) and Snowflake (actor, Jessie Award nomination).

Working on both sides of the border in Film/TV, he’s often running his yap on TV series including Family Law, NCIS, Legends of Tomorrow and films such as Big Eyes, Age of Adaline and The Predator. He’s also written a TV pilot, is editing his first documentary, coaches actors in a weekly class and hosts an acting workshop for folks on the autism spectrum. Aaron plays beer league hockey and can’t seem to get around to his Netflix watchlist, ever.



NYIRI KARAKASplaying Teresa

Nyiri Karakas is a Canadian-Armenian actor from Vancouver. She has a BA in political science from Western University, and a Masters in International Public Policy from Wilfrid Laurier University. Following a career change, Nyiri pursued a Masters in Acting at East 15 Acting School, in London, UK, where she was part of a residency at Shakespeare’s Globe.

DAVID KAYEplaying Kevin

David Kaye is an award-winning actor and producer who has continued to work in film, television, voice overs and theatre for 30 years. After getting his BFA in acting at UBC, he branched out into production as well, and has since had a hand in producing more than 50 productions from commercials and web series, to TV movies and a feature film. David is also an acting coach and teacher at Shoreline Studios. Most recently, David has been developing a NSFW one-man hip-hop Passover musical, The Fresh Prince of Egypt which first hit the stage at Rumble Theatre’s Tremors Festival in 2023. 

David is thrilled to be working with this stellar cast and crew, and is very grateful and humbled to be in such excellent company. You can catch David on Disney+ in SIREN, on Netflix voicing Frak in LEGO Ninjago: Dragons Rising, and look out for him in Nickelodeon’s upcoming Henry Danger: The Movie.

JOHN MURPHYDirector

John is a Canadian-Irish writer, director, actor, musician, comedian (and lapsed Catholic). WILL ARBERYPlaywright

Will Arbery is a playwright from Texas + Wyoming + seven sisters. Playwrights: Heroes of the Fourth Turning, which was named a Pulitzer Prize finalist and one of the best plays of 2019 by The New York Times, Vulture, Time Out, and more. Other plays include Plano (Clubbed Thumb), Evanston Salt Costs Climbing (New Neighborhood), Wheelchair (3 Hole Press). He’s a member of New Dramatists, and an alum of The Working Farm at SPACE on Ryder Farm, P73’s Interstate 73, Colt Coeur, Youngblood, and Clubbed Thumb’s Early Career Writers Group. He is the former Tow Foundation Playwright-in-Residence at Playwrights Horizons. His plays have received additional support from NYTW, The Vineyard, Ojai Playwrights Conference, Cape Cod Theater Project, The New Group, The Bushwick Starr, Alliance/Kendeda, and Tofte Lake Center. Most recently, he served as a story consultant on Succession (HBO). MFA: Northwestern. BA: Kenyon College.

SUSAN D. CURRIE – Stage Manager

Susan is a BC based Stage Manager and because they love road trips, they travel to other provinces to stage manage – this summer they are going to PEI. RYAN CORMACK – Set Design

Ryan is a graduate of Queen’s University and studied set and costume design at The National Theatre School of Canada . EMILY GRAY – Costume Design

Emily Gray is a Celebrity Fashion Stylist and Costume Designer. A graduate from The School of Fashion at Ryerson University, with over 20 years of experience styling campaigns and films locally and internationally. Emily has split time between Toronto, New York, and Vancouver gaining valuable experience styling celebrity clients, red carpet events, editorial, music videos, films, theatre, commercials, e-commerce and advertising.When taking on a project, Emily transforms the character through the use of wardrobe, building their own identity and is known for cultivating styles unique to each personality, all while infusing a hint of her own diverse, creative soul.



CHENGYAN BOON – Lighting Design 

Chengyan is delighted to be returning to design for Mitch and Murray Productions, having previously collaborated on Smart People, Lungs, Snowflake and Instantaneous Blue. He is a grateful guest on the traditional and unceded territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm, Sḵwx̱wú7mesh, and səlilwətaɬ Nations, working as a lighting designer in the local theatre and dance scenes, with recent highlights being Sky Dancers (Shakti Dance), The Messiah and Wakey Wakey (Pacific Theatre) and Mad Forest (Douglas College). He holds a BFA in Theatre Production and Design from UBC and is a member of IATSE ADC 659. Design portfolio at chengyanboon.com.

JESSE MILLER – Action and Weapons Coordinator

Born and raised in rural Saskatchewan, Jesse moved to Vancouver to pursue a profession as both an actor and stunt performer. His stunt credits include Turner and Hooch (Disney), So Help Me Todd (CBS), Riverdale (CW), Batwoman (CW) and HBO’s The Last Of Us. As one of the lead stunt doubles on Batwoman he has gained proficient experience with wirework, fight choreography and the art of physical expression. This is Jesse’s second Mitch and Murray production. He had the pleasure of being a part of Instantaneous Blue which premiered in early 2023. Jesse is always excited to explore, collaborate and continually expand the foundation of his craft.

MATTHEW MACDONALD-BAIN – Sound Design Matthew MacDonald-Bain is a Vancouver-based actor/sound designer. He is a four-time Jessie Award nominee and two-time Award winner for Acting and Sound Design. Select design credits include 500 Words (Green Thumb), Middletown, Cherry Docs, The Lonesome West, The Wolves (Pacific Theatre), The Fighting Season (Bleeding Heart Theatre), The Competition Is Fierce (Itsazoo), East Van Panto: Pinocchio (Theatre Replacement), The Day Before Christmas (Arts Club), Bright Blue Future, Bug, Of Mice And Men (Hardline). Matthew is a graduate of Studio 58.

KATE CRAVEN – Op’s / Company Manager

This is Kate’s ninth show behind the scenes for Mitch and Murray. Officially, she’s known as the Operations Manager and Board Chair, but she’s affectionately referred to as ‘the glue’. Kate also works as both an actor and screenwriter. As an actor, selecttheatre: An Intervention, Lungs (Mitch and Murray Productions), Bull (Made it Ma Productions), The Money Shot (MPD Collective), Here to Eternity (Company E), Chicago, Les Miserables (NTC). Select screen: High Potential, Family Law, The Good Doctor, Loudermilk, Batwoman, Nutshells. As a writer: Nightingales, A Perfect Place, Inochi Sae, Autumn Falling, A Country Kind of Love, Long Shadows. Kate also teaches ongoing classes at The Working Actors Gym.

TERESA TROVATO – PR

Teresa Trovato has 25 years of experience as a publicist in the entertainment industry. Based in Vancouver, B.C., she has worked on national events including festivals, music tours, and comedy tours.

Over the past 10 years, Teresa has turned her focus to the arts and has worked for various organizations including Mitch and Murray Productions, Firehall Arts Centre, MADE | NOUS, JFL NorthWest, SFU Woodward’s Cultural Programs, Some Assembly Theatre Company, Realwheels Theatre, and more. www.teresatrovato.com
