The Studio on the Drive is the training wing of Mitch and Murray Productions.

The private acting studio originally made its home in Vancouver’s vibrant Commercial Drive, and is currently nestled in the heart of downtown, at the very top of the iconic Seymour Building.

The studio offers an intimate, inspiring, and nurturing environment where actors can feel safe to take creative risks, as well as develop their craft and unique voices, while being rigorously challenged at every step. Taught by industry veterans, classes include scene study, on-camera auditioning, voice, and even improvisation — all the tools required of a professional actor. Study materials range from practical film/TV scripts to plays by the likes of Tennessee Williams and David Mamet, designed to exercise every thespian muscle.

STUDIO SPACE AVAILABLE FOR RENT

Mitch and Murray Productions has space available for rent on an ongoing or part time basis. We’re located in a cozy top floor unit on Seymour Street between Dunsmuir and Pender. Ideal renters would be other creative entities (film, theatre, arts admin, small yoga classes) needing space on a part time basis.

The studio is 500 square feet and is furnished minimally with lots of open space and is equipped with chairs, tables, couch and a camera/monitor as well as Canadian Springs water.

Rental space is $20 an hour or $25 an hour w/ camera use. **Weekday Hour Rentals 9am – 5pm – Only $350 per week for full use** Office use can also be negotiated if needed.
